Pinellas County residents should prepare for potential flooding. The National Weather Service issued a Flood Watch for the entire county and a Coastal Flood Advisory for coastal areas, including shores of Boca Ciega Bay. Advisories are in effect from today, October 10, 2026, through Saturday, October 12, 2026.

Heavy rainfall may cause street and yard flooding, particularly in low-lying areas. Higher-than-normal tides will increase coastal flooding risk in neighborhoods from Clearwater Beach to St. Pete Beach. Residents in these areas should take standard precautions to protect their property.

The National Weather Service is monitoring the situation. Residents can find the latest forecast at weather.gov/tampa and hurricanes.gov. Authorities remind everyone to remember: "Turn around, don't drown." Never drive or walk through flooded areas.

Residents are also encouraged to dump any standing water around their homes to prevent mosquito breeding.

For assistance with town records or website accessibility information, Town Clerk Freddie Lozano can be reached at (727) 595-4020 or [email protected]. The Town of Indian Shores is working to improve its website accessibility to meet WCAG and W3C standards.
