Pinellas County businesses that generate small amounts of hazardous waste can dispose of electronic waste and chemicals monthly through the county's Solid Waste department. The Business Electronic and Chemical Collection Events occur on the second Wednesday of each month.

These events serve businesses qualifying as Very Small Quantity Generators (VSQGs) of hazardous waste. To qualify, businesses must generate no more than 220 pounds of hazardous waste per calendar month.

The collection events run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Businesses can find details on accepted materials and rates on the Pinellas County website. The county also offers resources for its Small Quantity Generator Program.

For questions about the collection events or generator program qualifications, businesses can contact Pinellas County Solid Waste at (727) 464-7500 or [email protected].
