Gasoline Prices Reach Highest Point Since Early 1980s

The average price of unleaded gasoline in the United Kingdom has risen to 158.52 pence per liter. The RAC, a motoring organization, released the data on current fuel costs and warned of potential future increases.

Representatives at the RAC stated that prices may increase further in the coming weeks. The current price represents the highest cost for gasoline since the early 1980s. During that time, Iran and Iraq were engaged in conflict which disrupted the global oil market.
