Residents in Western Garrett County, Maryland, and Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties, West Virginia, should prepare for strong winds this morning. A Wind Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC, effective immediately until 11:00 AM EDT today, October 11.

East winds are expected to reach 20 to 25 mph, with gusts potentially as high as 50 mph. These conditions can make driving challenging, particularly for high-profile vehicles. The National Weather Service advises using extra caution if traveling.

Gusty winds may blow around unsecured outdoor objects. There is also a possibility of tree limbs being blown down, which could lead to isolated power outages. Secure loose items around your property and be aware of your surroundings.
