Pembroke Pines Schools: Free Breakfast & Lunch 2026-27

Pembroke Pines Charter School System students will receive free breakfast meals daily during the 2026-27 school year. The system also provides free or reduced-price lunch for eligible families, with applications now open online.

Lunch prices for the upcoming school year are $2.70 for elementary students, $3.05 for middle school students, and $3.20 for high school students. Reduced-price lunch costs $0.40.

Families can qualify for free or reduced-price meals based on several criteria. Children in households receiving benefits from FL SNAP, the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), or FL TANF automatically qualify. Foster children, children in Head Start programs, and children identified as homeless, runaway, or migrant also receive free meals.

Household income also determines eligibility. Families may qualify if their income meets the Federal Income Eligibility Guidelines for the 2026-27 school year. For a household of four, this includes yearly incomes of $61,050 or less, monthly incomes of $5,088 or less, or weekly incomes of $1,175 or less.

The online application for free and reduced-price school meals opened Friday, July 31, 2026. Parents and guardians can apply at frapps.horizonsolana.com/PEMP01 or by visiting PinesCharter.net, selecting the Families & Community header, then Food Services, and choosing the “2026-2027 F&R Application online.”

Families who previously received confirmation of free meal approval do not need to reapply. All other families must complete a new online application. Eligibility from the previous school year extends only through Sept. 22, 2026. Students without an approved application will be charged full price for meals.
