Dr. Elizabeth Kennedy Named Pawling Schools Superintendent

The Pawling Central School District appointed Dr. Elizabeth Kennedy as superintendent, effective July 2026. Kennedy currently serves as Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel Services for Carmel Central School District.

Kennedy oversees special education, counseling, attendance, and student support programs. She will lead curriculum, budget planning, and staff management for Pawling's schools.

"We are thrilled to welcome her as a dedicated, student-centered leader," said Anthony DiCarlo, interim superintendent, and Zack Graczyk, Board of Education president, in a joint statement.

Kennedy begins her tenure in July, replacing DiCarlo in the interim role. The district will announce community meet-and-greet sessions in coming weeks.
