Sunlake High's USA Pep Rally Kicks Off School Year

Sunlake High School ignited its school year last Friday, September 12, 2026, with a high-energy, USA-themed pep rally in the gymnasium. Students celebrated school spirit through various activities and cheered on their peers.

A lively competition among grade levels featured students racing, retrieving a ball, and returning it to their team before grabbing a flag. Senior Christopher Mjtorian represented his class in the event. “My first reaction was ‘Let’s go!’” Mjtorian said. “I knew it would be fun, but I also knew I had to try because everyone was watching.” He focused on his speed, feeling nervous but determined to win for the seniors. The senior team secured victory, a moment Mjtorian described as making him “really happy and proud to be part of the team.”
