North River encourages residents, from those near the historic Parrish crossroads to families in newer neighborhoods, to connect and grow in their faith through its Life Groups program. These smaller gatherings aim to provide encouragement, challenge, care, and mutual support among believers as they deepen their understanding and love for God.
The church emphasizes that following Jesus is a communal journey. Life Groups are open to individuals of all ages and life stages, with each member contributing to the church body’s collective growth. Participants can expect prayer, genuine care, loving accountability, and opportunities for spiritual growth.
North River organizes Life Groups into two annual seasons: Fall, from August through December, and Spring, from January to May. During the summer, groups maintain relationships through informal gatherings, adapting meeting rhythms to enjoy Manatee County’s warmer evenings. Typically, during the active seasons, most groups meet three out of four weeks each month.
Specific opportunities for men and women are also available. The Men's Bible Study meets Tuesdays at 8 a.m. at North River (NRC) with Pastor Cody. Additional Men's Bible Study sessions are Wednesdays at 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. at NRC, led by Pastor Michael and Greg Tosi, respectively. The Women's Bible Study includes fellowship, small group discussions, and teaching, with childcare provided for children pre-kindergarten and younger.
Residents interested in joining a Life Group, Men's Bible Study, or Women's Bible Study can find registration information through North River. Pastor Cody serves as the Administrative and Discipleship Pastor overseeing these groups.
