PARRISH – North River Church (NRC) celebrated over a decade of ministry in Parrish this past April, transitioning from a mission church to an established community presence. The church began in October 2010 as a mission from West Bradenton Baptist Church and officially became autonomous in April 2013.
The congregation's growth spurred significant milestones, including the January 2015 purchase of 10 acres of land on Fort Hamer Road. For nearly ten years, North River Church held services at Williams Elementary School. In October 2020, the church moved into its permanent facility at 5525 Fort Hamer Road, providing a dedicated space to serve the expanding Parrish community.
North River Church's mission is to glorify God and make disciples. As Parrish experiences rapid development with new housing in areas like Parrish Park and surrounding neighborhoods, church leadership sees an opportunity to serve as a positive influence.
