Babcock Ranch District Mandates New Electronic Signature and Seal Requirements for Licensed Professionals

The Babcock Ranch Community Independent Special District (BRCISD) has implemented new requirements for electronic and digital signatures and seals (eS&S) for licensed professionals. This policy affects engineers, architects, landscape architects, and surveyors and mappers who submit documents to the district.

Professionals must now adhere to the BRCISD’s Licensed Professional eS&S Regulations before executing any documents. This ensures the integrity and compliance of all submissions. The new policy applies to drawings, plans, specifications, reports, plats, and other documents requiring professional seals.

A key change involves the submission process: scanning or printing an eS&S form before emailing it invalidates the electronic signature and seal. Professionals must email completed forms directly to the District Engineer. The email address provided on the affidavit for the licensed professional must match the email associated with their eS&S.
