Northlake Boulevard Lane Closures for 10/8
Drivers, FDOT says to expect lane closures along Northlake Boulevard tomorrow, October 8 around the Beeline Highway intersection. FDOT is closing the westbound lanes beginning at 9 a.m. The eastbound lanes will close beginning after 10:30 a.m. The lane closures will happen one direction at a time and are expected to continue though 5 p.m. This is part of FDOT's Beeline Highway Reconstruction Project. Atlantic Ave., from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Upcoming Yard Sale Dates Saturday, Sept. 12 Saturday, Oct. 10 Saturday, Nov. 14 Saturday, Nov. 21 Saturday, Dec. 12 Vendor Information Residents interested in selling items can reserve an indoor or outdoor vendor space. Regular yard sale dates: Outdoor spaces: $10 Indoor spaces: $15 Saturday, Nov. 21: Outdoor spaces: Free Indoor spaces: $10 Indoor registration is limited to two spaces per person, with one table provided for each space. Outdoor registration is unlimited, but sellers must bring their own tables or blankets. Registration closes at 4 p.m. on the Friday before each yard sale. Inner Acting Program
Build confidence, develop public speaking skills and discover your inner actor with the City of Daytona Beach’s free Inner Acting program. Municipal Election - March 24, 2026 Qualifying begins December 1 -9, 2025
The Town of Hypoluxo will hold a General Municipal Election on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM for the purpose of electing three (3) members to the Town Council, each for a three-year term. A Runoff Election, if necessary, will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Persons seeking election may qualify with the Town Clerk beginning at noon on Monday, December 1, 2025 through noon, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Candidates will be required to submit a $78.00 filing fee. All Hypoluxo registered voters (Precincts 3401 and 3402) will vote at Hypoluxo Town Hall, 7580 S. Federal Highway, Hypoluxo, FL. Perfect for kids, parents, and anyone who loves a feel-good adventure. *Freakier Friday - 9:30PM Get ready to freak out... again! The ultimate body swap comedy is back with Freakier Friday. Twice the chaos and twice the laugh and a whole lot of "wait... that's you?" Movie night fun for the whole family. *This screening will be a silent disco-style event with wireless headphones. The city will provide headphones, which must be checked in and out. A valid ID will be held for security until the headphones are returned. Ticket Information Tickets will be attached to your receipt upon payment. To enter the event, you must pick up your own wristbands at the Community Recreation Center prior to the event. Each movie requires its own ticket. If you plan to attend both movies, you must purchase a ticket for each one separately. Teacher Planning Day Programs
Wondering what to do when school is out? Register for one of Aventura’s many programs during school breaks including teacher planning days. When school is not in session due to teacher planning days, the City offers children ages 5-12 a day-camp feel with a variety of enrichment activities such as sports, health & wellness programs, games, arts & crafts, project-based learning, and recreational activities. Aventura Waterways Afterschool Program
The afterschool program provides Aventura Waterways K-8 Center students with academic assistance including homework, guidance in specific areas of study, and the opportunity to engage in fun cross-curricular games at the Aventura Community Recreation Center. Schedule Monday through Friday from dismissal time through 6:00 p.m. Location Aventura Community Recreation Center located at 3375 NE 188 Street Transportation The City will provide bus transportation at dismissal time only from the school to the recreation center on all school days. Parents or guardians are responsible to pick up their child/children from the recreation center no later than 6:00 p.m. Program Fee The program fee varies monthly. The fee includes all activities, supplies and transportation. Snacks will be provided. Adult Coed Softball League
Get ready to hit the field! Babcock Ranch Parks & Recreation is excited to welcome players to our 18+ Adult Coed Slow-Pitch Softball League. Whether you're returning with your team or signing up as a free agent, this recreational league is a great way to stay active, meet new people, and enjoy some friendly competition. League games are played in a fun, sportsmanlike environment while following ASA rules. The season concludes with an end-of-season tournament to determine our league champions! Season: August 23 - November 8 Format: 10 vs. 10 Slow-Pitch Softball Ages: 18+ Cost: $115 per player League fees include umpire costs--no additional game-day payments are required. Registration: Each player must register individually. Registration Deadline: August 16 Team Requests: Players may request to join an existing team during registration. Free Agents Welcome! Individual registrations are encouraged, and we'll place you on a team. Roster Size: Maximum of 14 players per team, with a minimum of 3 women on each roster. Uniforms: Players must wear the official Babcock Ranch Parks & Recreation league shirt provided with registration. Rules: Games will be governed by ASA rules, with Babcock Ranch Parks & Recreation league modifications. All players should download the TeamReach app and join using Group Code: 2025Coed. Parks and Rec is excited to announce a Toddler & Me dance class put on by Tippi Toes! Music, movement, balance and the basic dance steps are introduced in a fun, friendly and positive manner. This class includes a loved one participating along with the dancer. Dates: October 2nd - October 30th Ages: 18 months- 3 years Days/Time: Fridays, 4:00 PM - 4:45 PM Location: Cypress Lodge Cost: $75/month What to Wear: Dancers can wear a combination of a leotard, tights, and ballet skirt or leggings and a non-restrictive top.
