Belleair to Hold Public Hearing on Comprehensive Plan Changes
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Commission of the Town of Belleair, Florida, will conduct a Public Hearing on June 4, 2024, at 6:00 P.M. at the Town Hall, 901 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Belleair, Florida, to consider Comprehensive Plan Transmittal pursuant to Florida Statutes Sections 163.3161 through 163.3248, as amended, to address recent legislative changes impacting the following elements of the Town’s Comprehensive Plan: Future Land Use Element, Traffic Circulation Element, Housing Element, and Capital Improvements Element. The legislative changes require local governments to amend their Comprehensive Plans to address private property rights, prohibit local governments from restricting certain communication services, authorize the consideration of certain types of infrastructure in the traffic circulation element, and make certain changes that affect the authority of local governments to regulate development. The proposed Comprehensive Plan Transmittal and other related documents are available for public inspection at the Town Hall, 901 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Belleair, Florida, during regular business hours. All interested parties are invited to attend and be heard. Anyone with a disability requiring reasonable accommodation to participate in this meeting should notify the Town Clerk’s Office at 727-588-3769 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. If any person decides to appeal any decision made by the Town Commission with respect to any matter considered at such meeting, that person will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, that person may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. (F.S. 286.0105) In accordance with Florida Statutes Section 286.0105, please be advised that, should any person seek to appeal any decision made by the Town Commission with respect to any matter considered at the above referenced hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
