Residents in Northwestern Nye County, including Round Mountain, Carvers, and Hadley, should seek sturdy shelter immediately as a strong thunderstorm is approaching. The primary hazards associated with this storm are wind gusts up to 50 mph and half-inch hail. Impacts could include heavy rainfall, which may lead to localized flooding, and gusty winds capable of knocking down tree limbs and displacing unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is also possible. The NWS advises against driving through flooded roadways.
This storm also presents frequent cloud-to-ground lightning.
