DALE COUNTY, AL – October 8, 2026 – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Tallahassee, FL, has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for Dale County, effective immediately as of 11:06 AM EDT. This severe warning impacts Ozark and Fort Rucker, urging residents to complete preparations before hazardous conditions arrive.

Residents should expect winds of 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, with a potential for sustained winds of 39 to 57 mph. Damage to outdoor structures, tree limbs, and power outages are possible. Act now to secure property and complete preparations. The warning is set to expire at 7:15 PM UTC.

A Flood Watch is also in effect, with 2-4 inches of rain predicted, and locally higher amounts. Moderate flooding is possible, potentially leading to evacuations and rescues. Heed all flood watches and warnings; failure to act may result in serious injury or loss of life.
