YMCA Board Leader Julie Kleffel on Community Service

Julie Kleffel, immediate past board chair of the YMCA of Central Florida and a senior executive at Seacoast Bank, reflected on her journey from committee volunteer to board leader in the latest installment of the organization's First Friday Conversations video series.

YMCA President and CEO Kevin Bolding released the episode this month. Kleffel described how the organization's mission aligns with her commitment to community impact. "When I stepped into being a part of this organization, I stepped into a place of excellence," she said.

Kleffel highlighted the Y's Safe Start Swim Lessons program and services for families and seniors. She noted that board and volunteer service offers personal growth opportunities.

The monthly First Friday video series launched earlier this year. Bolding hosts the conversations, which cover organizational leadership and community initiatives including water safety education.
