UCF Launches Post-COVID Speech Pathology Course

The University of Central Florida (UCF) has launched a new graduate-level course to prepare clinical speech-language pathologists for the ongoing needs of patients affected by COVID-19.

The course, titled “Post COVID-19 Clinical Practice in Medical Speech-Language Pathology,” is part of UCF’s graduate clinical speech pathology program. It equips healthcare professionals to manage the medical and rehabilitative challenges faced by individuals hospitalized with COVID-19.

The training addresses lingering effects from the virus, including swallowing difficulties, cognitive impairments, and speech disorders. The curriculum offers practical knowledge and clinical strategies for these patients.
