US Marshals Seek Fugitive in Sex Crimes Case

U.S. Marshals are offering a reward for the capture of Alex Rosado Lopez, a construction worker wanted in connection with child sex crimes in Georgia and Oregon. Lopez allegedly fled Wisconsin after posting a $10,000 bond.

The Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force announced the reward for Lopez, who is accused of raping a 12-year-old girl in Coweta County, Georgia, in 2019. Warrants for his arrest in Georgia, charging him with two counts of rape and two counts of aggravated sodomy, were issued in 2021.

Authorities tracked Lopez to Oregon, where he faces additional charges of two counts of rape and two counts of sexual battery against a child victim. He later surfaced in Wisconsin and was arrested for multiple counts of possession of child pornography.

Despite active warrants in two states and ongoing federal pursuit, a judge in Wisconsin granted Lopez a $10,000 cash bond. Officials stated he immediately fled after posting the bond and has since gone into hiding. Investigators believe Lopez, a U.S. citizen, is likely hiding within the United States and often works in construction under various aliases.
