Dr. Kaitlin Alexander recently began her new role as Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at the UF College of Pharmacy. She will oversee daily operations and student staff, supporting the nearly 1,000 Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) students across the college's three campuses.

In her expanded capacity, Alexander will collaborate with faculty, staff, and college leadership to enhance student success. Her responsibilities include planning and executing major student events such as the White Coat Ceremony, Commencement, and PharmDiscovery Week.

Alexander, a 2012 alumna of the UF College of Pharmacy, brings extensive experience to the position. She completed postgraduate residencies in West Virginia and North Carolina before serving eight years on faculty at Auburn University. Alexander returned to the UF College of Pharmacy in 2021 as a faculty member and clinical pharmacist in the trauma intensive care unit at UF Health Shands Hospital.

Her understanding of the student journey, gained from her time as a student and her professional career, will directly impact pharmacy students at UF.
