The Apopka Police Department has scheduled several community events and continues ongoing initiatives to enhance public safety and engagement. Residents can connect with officers, learn about safety, and prepare for emergencies.
The free community gathering “Horsepower for Heroes” will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on November 7, 2026, at Kit Land Nelson Park. The Apopka Police Halloween Highway is set for October 28, 2026.
With hurricane season ending November 30, 2026, the Apopka Fire and Police Departments, along with Public Services, urge residents to review emergency checklists. Residents in flood-prone areas or near the lake should pay particular attention.
