A 67-year-old woman faces charges after allegedly performing "donuts" on the Jennings County Courthouse lawn in Vernon on Monday. The incident, captured on video, was shared by the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office on social media.

The video shows Lorraine Phyllis Wilkerson, driving a silver sedan, making several tight turns on the lawn. The vehicle kicked up significant dirt and narrowly missed striking a tree, a light post and a brick bench. The sheriff's office also noted the vehicle struck a sign.

"If you’ve had a few too many margaritas with dinner, please don’t get behind the wheel, and definitely don’t do donuts on the courthouse lawn," the sheriff's office stated in their social media post, encouraging responsible drinking and safe transportation arrangements.

Wilkerson was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more. Vernon is located approximately 77 miles south of Indianapolis.
