Crenshaw Academy: Student-Centered Education in Orange County

The Crenshaw Academy, a K-12 college preparatory school in Orange County, has outlined its academic philosophy and offerings for prospective families. The school emphasizes a student-centered approach, tailoring instruction to individual learning styles rather than employing a uniform method.

Serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade, the academy maintains a 12:1 student-to-teacher ratio in the Lower School and a 15:1 ratio in the Middle and Upper Schools. This structure allows educators to know each student individually and customize instruction.

For students with demanding schedules, such as competitive athletes or performers, The Crenshaw Academy provides a Professional Program with flexible enrollment. This program allows for adapted scheduling while students receive full academic credit. Honors courses are available in all Upper School disciplines, and students can pursue independent study for credit in specialized areas. One-on-one after-school tutoring is available Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays until 4:00 PM at a rate of $60 per hour.
