Oldsmar City Council: Meet Mayor Katie Gannon & Your Council Members - How They Govern

Oldsmar residents elect a Mayor and four Council Members to govern the city. These five individuals form the Oldsmar City Council, the legislative body responsible for passing laws, adopting resolutions, and overseeing the city's budget.

Understanding the roles of these elected officials and how to participate in local government provides residents with a direct voice in community decisions. The Council acts as the legislative branch, reviewing and modifying the city budget, and appointing officials.

Meet Your Oldsmar City Council

Mayor Katie Gannon leads the current Oldsmar City Council. Vice Mayor Steve Graber holds Seat 1, Valerie Tatarzewski holds Seat 2, Amber Stephens holds Seat 3, and Sean Swauger holds Seat 4. Voters elect the Mayor and all Council members at-large for three-year terms.

Participating in City Council Meetings

City Council meetings take place on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7 PM. These meetings are held on the 2nd Floor of the Oldsmar Council Chamber, located at 101 State Street West. Residents can access information packets for Council meetings online. The City of Oldsmar YouTube channel also provides a live stream of the meetings. Residents can sign up for email notifications regarding City Council meetings to stay informed.
