Wladimir Klitschko, former fiancé of the late actress Hayden Panettiere, filed a court document in Los Angeles County alleging that some of Panettiere's possessions, including jewelry, were sold to a pawn shop. This claim is part of Klitschko's ongoing legal effort to be appointed temporary guardian of their daughter, Kaya Klitschko.
The filing supplements an earlier petition and raises concerns about the preservation of Panettiere's estate. According to the documents, the pawn shop has refused to disclose item details without a law enforcement inquiry. Klitschko's filing warns that Panettiere's items risk being sold or transferred, which would cause a direct financial detriment to Kaya.
Klitschko requests the court grant him authority to initiate a law enforcement investigation into the recovery of these believed-to-be-misappropriated properties. Panettiere, 36, died in August in South Carolina from an accidental overdose involving fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol, and quetiapine. The investigation into the source of the fentanyl remains active.
Klitschko's petition seeks guardianship of their 10-year-old daughter, Kaya, and aims to ensure the protection of her inheritance. The filing emphasizes the urgency of recovering Panettiere's assets, which are believed to be crucial for Kaya's financial future.
