Isaias Passes: All Warnings Canceled, Rip Current Risk Remains
The National Weather Service has canceled all watches and warnings for Isaias, but high surf and a high risk of rip currents will persist today in coastal areas.
MOBILE, AL – October 10, 2026 – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Mobile, AL has issued its final Tropical Cyclone Local Statement regarding Post-Tropical Cyclone Isaias. All watches and warnings for portions of southwest Alabama, northwest Florida, south central Alabama, and inland southeast Mississippi have been canceled as Isaias has moved north of the area and no longer poses a direct threat.
While the immediate tropical cyclone threat has passed, residents in coastal areas should be aware that high surf conditions and a High Risk of rip currents will persist through today. Beachgoers are advised to exercise extreme caution.
Authorities urge residents to remain calm, informed, and focused, especially if recovering from any minor impacts. Keep cell phones charged; car chargers can be helpful, but be aware of carbon monoxide poisoning risks if idling vehicles in poorly ventilated areas. Never drive through flooded roadways; remember, "turn around, don't drown!"
