Bruins Defeat Sabres 4-2, Series Tied

The Boston Bruins defeated the Buffalo Sabres 4-2. Morgan Geekie scored a goal from center ice with less than four minutes remaining in the second period, extending Boston’s lead to 2-0. It was Geekie's first career goal scored from that distance.

The Bruins increased their lead to 4-0 before the Sabres responded with two goals. Buffalo's coach, Lindy Ruff, acknowledged Geekie's goal as fortunate.

The series is now tied, with Game 3 scheduled for Thursday at TD Garden in Boston.
