Elizabeth Holmes Claims Innocence in New Documentary Trailer

A new trailer for the upcoming documentary "You Can See Everything" offers a glimpse into the family life of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes and her continued assertion of innocence. Filmmaker Nathan Fielder directly questions Holmes in the trailer about her past actions, asking, "You really feel you did nothing wrong?" Holmes responds, "I did not." When Fielder asks where things went wrong, Holmes states, "I wish I knew. I don't know. I don't feel like I understand that." The film, scheduled for release Oct. 16, was shot in 2023 before Holmes reported to prison.

Holmes was convicted in January 2022 on four counts of fraud related to her blood-testing startup, Theranos, which collapsed after investors poured millions into the company. She received a sentence of over 11 years in prison.

Directed by Lance Oppenheim and co-directed by Fielder, the documentary shows Fielder living with Holmes, her partner Billy Evans, and their children. Holmes expressed willingness to be filmed, telling Fielder, "I don't think so," when asked if she worried about a filmmaker living with her 24/7. "I think this is the moment in time to capture this story before I'm gone," she added. Evans also appears in the trailer, stating "No, never," when asked if he had ever suspected Holmes of lying to him.

The film's synopsis describes it as an intimate portrait of an "enigmatic felon" that evolves into a "mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss." Holmes' X account shared a clip from the documentary on Sept. 6, announcing the film's initial release. "I’m always being real," Holmes captioned the post.
