Adam Driver, Miles Teller in New Crime Thriller 'Paper Tiger' Trailer

The official trailer for the upcoming crime thriller Paper Tiger, starring Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson, and Miles Teller, has been released by NEON. The film, written and directed by James Gray, explores family bonds tested by a dangerous scheme.

Paper Tiger follows two brothers who become entangled in a scheme that proves too good to be true, pulling them into the world of the Russian mafiya. As they navigate this dangerous territory, their family ties fray with severe consequences.

The trailer opens with Miles Teller's character, Irwin Pearl, welcoming his brother Gary, played by Adam Driver, into his home. Scarlett Johansson portrays Hester Pearl, Irwin's wife. A quote from Teller's Irwin hints at the unfolding trouble: "We had a problem down at the canal and it's led to some things. I walked in on something they didn't want me to see." Driver's Gary reassures Irwin, stating, "These people don't trust anyone. They'll huff and puff but they're not gonna touch me." Irwin's anxious reply, "What about me?" underscores the rising tension.

The film also features Gavin Goudey and Roman Engel in supporting roles. Driver and Johansson previously starred together in Noah Baumbach's 2019 film Marriage Story, earning Academy Award nominations for their performances.

Paper Tiger premieres in North America at the 64th New York Film Festival on September 25. It will be released in select theaters on November 13, with a wide release on November 20.
