Seacoast Utility Authority begins significant infrastructure work Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, replacing aging water and wastewater utilities along key North Palm Beach roadways. The project, expected to continue through June 2027, includes work near Singer Island and within Anchorage Park.
Crews will replace existing 6-inch and 8-inch water mains on Ibis Way and Westward Way. A critical 24-inch wastewater force main will also be replaced. This force main runs from Prosperity Farms Road along Ibis Way and under the North Palm Beach Waterway to Anchorage Park. These aging utilities require replacement to enhance system reliability and reduce future emergency repairs for residents from Old Port Cove to the rest of the village.
Construction will occur primarily within public rights-of-way and utility easements. Residents should anticipate temporary impacts, including potential lane closures and traffic shifts. Seacoast Utility Authority states it will make efforts to minimize disruptions. Daytime construction noise is expected within approved hours. Advance notice will be provided for any necessary temporary water service interruptions.
Work within Anchorage Park begins Oct. 12 and concludes by the end of the month. A section of the asphalt walking path may close temporarily during force main installation. However, access to the park, boat ramp and other recreational areas will remain open. The tennis courts and east-side fishing pier will stay open. The west-side fishing pier and the large pavilion will close during this period. Barricades and fencing will mark the construction zone. Park visitors should follow marked walkways and signage and stay clear of heavy machinery.
