Catholic Health Services (CHS) released its 2026 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) in September, outlining health priorities for residents in Broward and Miami-Dade counties. The report highlights areas including chronic disease prevention, stroke care, fall prevention, general health education, and accessible physical rehabilitation.
The assessment involved community input and data analysis to identify and prioritize significant health needs. CHS operates more than 40 facilities across South Florida, serving over 7,500 people daily. The organization's mission, inspired by its role as the official healthcare ministry of the Archdiocese of Miami, aims to strengthen communities by addressing physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
CHS is seeking public feedback on the assessment and its implementation strategy. Residents can submit written comments through the Catholic Health Services website. These comments will inform future assessments.
