While sustained winds are expected to remain below tropical storm force, with a peak forecast of 10-20 mph and gusts up to 45 mph, residents should prepare for moderate flooding from heavy rain. An additional 1 inch of rainfall is expected, posing a significant threat for moderate flooding. Emergency plans should account for potential evacuations and rescues. The NWS reports that the tornado threat is currently unfavorable, and tornadoes are not expected. However, showers and thunderstorms with gusty winds may still occur.
