Donald Chapman Grimes, Sr., known affectionately as Donnie, was born on July 4, 1972, in Norfolk, Virginia, and passed away on June 5, 2026. Donald was a hardworking man; his work ethic was only surpassed by the love he had for his family and his passion for his hobbies. A master griller, motorcyclist, and skilled woodworker, Donald found the greatest joy in using his hands to create. Whether he was building, fixing, or crafting, his hands were his tools, and his heart was his guide. While Donald was on the road trucking, he loved to bring his children along so they could experience the open road and the wonders of the United States.Donald is survived by his sister, Brandy; his children, Amber, Brittany, Cidney, Piper, Makenzie, DJ, and Joey. He was also a proud grandfather to Lucas, Wade, Carlos, Aubriella, Saylor, and Maverick.At this time, no services have been planned.
