On the morning of June 3rd at 12:14 A.M., the journey of a great man came to its fulfillment.Surrounded by his loved ones, James Martin Green passed away peacefully at the age of 75 due to complications from dementia. Known to his friends and family as “Jimmy” he was born on January 19th 1951 in Fort Worth, Texas to James Alvin Green and Mildred Josephine Green. Much of his early life was spent living in Granbury, Texas, but upon reaching adulthood he left Granbury in order to serve his God and Country by enlisting in the US Army. While in the Army he served in duty stations such as West Germany, South Korea, and Fort Hood. After exiting active duty and returning to civilian life he found employment at the site of what was to become Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, a location where he would build a career and friendships that would last over forty years ultimately culminating with his retirement. As a man with a strong work ethic Jimmy did not find retirement to his liking and took up a post retirement job at Squaw Creek Golf Course. Sadly, due to illness he was unable to continue working the job he loved at the golf course. Jimmy will be remembered as faithful husband, amazing father, loyal friend, hard worker, avid golfer, and devout member of the Church of Christ.Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents James and Mildred Green, stepmother Nadine Green, brother Billy Green, sister Sherrey Hibdon, and grandson Jake Green.
