Clara Jean Beall, age 66, passed away on Friday May 1, 2026 in Granbury, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Granbury.Clara was born on May 30, 1959 in Hazard, Kentucky to Matt Melton and Janice “Jan” Melton.Clara was a skilled and talented crafter. She use to make arts and crafts anything from sewing, crocheting, and painted crafts to woodwork. She did it all, anything you could think of, she could make it. She’d set up a booth on the Square in Granbury for all their craft shows. Clara wouldn’t just set up booths in Granbury, but also in several other towns that held craft show events. At one time, Clara even had her own craft store on the Square in Granbury, called The Crafty Bizarre. She loved working on her craft projects.Clara was also a life long member of TASO (Texas Association of Sports Officials), TABU (Texas Amateur Baseball Umpires), GOG (Granbury Officials Group), and North Richland Hills Athletics. For years, you could find her on the ball fields umpiring games, or on the courts refereeing volleyball. Clara enjoyed every minute of officiating. She loved when she got spend time with her family and friends, especially her 3 great grandsons. Clara liked fishing, camping and just hanging out with her family and her friends. She also enjoyed researching and working on her family tree.Clara is proceed in death by her husband Richard Beall, father Matt Melton, mother Janice “Jan” Melton, stepmother Shirley Melton and older brother Scott Melton.Clara is survived by her only child, daughter, Sativa Severance (husband Mike) of Chattanooga TN;Grandchildren: Devon Maifeld (wife Rhiannon) of College Station, TX; Justice Acosta (husband Rudy) of McAllen, TX; William Severance of Chattanooga, TN;Great Grandsons: Marcus, Christian and Elijah Acosta of McAllen, TX.Brother Ricky "Bubba" Melton (Cindy) of Athens TX.Nieces: Audrey “Nikki” Balkcom of Forney TX, Sarah Melton (husband Jim Willhite) of Forney TX.Last but not least, her Best Friends: Alice Coleman, Elaine Herrera, Gina Francis and Mike Pixler Sr.Numerous other family and friends.Celebration of Life for Clara Jean Beall will be held. Date, time and location to be announced.
