Milton, Fla. (April 30, 2026) — The City of Milton is now accepting applications for its 2026 Summer Youth Internship Program, offering local high school students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in municipal government while earning a competitive hourly wage.

Milton, Fla. (April 30, 2026) — The City of Milton is now accepting applications for its 2026 Summer Youth Internship Program, offering local high school students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in municipal government while earning a competitive hourly wage. The four-week paid internship will run from June 1 through June 26, 2026, and is open to high school students, with participation recommended for those in grades 10 through 12. Interns will earn $15 per hour while working approximately 20 hours per week, gaining real-world experience alongside City staff. Participants will gain exposure to a range of City departments, including Finance and Purchasing, Communications and Media Relations, Economic Development, Public Events, Information Technology, and Planning and Development. Interns will also engage with departments such as Fire, Police, and Public Works, providing a broader understanding of the services that support the community each day. Interns will primarily work weekday morning hours, with select evening and weekend events included as part of the program experience. Applications must be submitted by May 18, 2026. The program is open to students throughout Santa Rosa County, with priority given to City of Milton residents.
