A Special Weather Statement has been issued for Inland Nassau, Coastal Nassau, Inland Camden, and Coastal Camden counties until 4:45 PM EDT today, October 4th, 2026. The National Weather Service in Jacksonville, FL, reports a strong thunderstorm near Kingsland, moving east at 15 mph.

Residents outdoors in the affected areas should consider seeking shelter inside a building. The primary hazards are wind gusts around 40 mph and minor flooding due to heavy rainfall.

Impacted locations include St. Marys, Kingsland, Kings Bay Base, Kings Ferry, High Point, Dungeness, Cumberland Island, Harrietts Bluff, and Colesburg. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Torrential rainfall is also occurring, which may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
