Marco Island Woman's Club Donates $15K to NCH Urgent Care
The Marco Island Woman's Club donated $15,000 to Naples Comprehensive Health to support the new urgent care facility at the Pat and Scot Kaufman Healthcare Center.
The 25,000-square-foot facility opened on the NCH Barbara and Steve Slaggie Campus with advanced imaging, private exam rooms, board-certified emergency physicians, and specialty care including cardiology. NCH also renovated the existing rehabilitation and outpatient center.
The club, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this fall, received naming recognition inside the facility. Members said they chose to support urgent care because it keeps medical services local and prevents residents from traveling to Naples for treatment.
"We saw how much it would help the community," club member Sharyn Kampmeyer said. "It just seemed like the right thing to do."
Past president Sue Purvis said the club wanted to back something concrete that would benefit residents. Club members hope NCH will expand women's health services, add more specialists, and increase diagnostic imaging on the island.
