Residents in Westmoreland, Fayette, and Higher Elevations of Indiana counties are advised to secure outdoor objects immediately as a Wind Advisory is in effect until 2:00 PM EDT today, October 11.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Pittsburgh has issued this advisory due to expected southeast winds of 15 to 20 mph, with gusts potentially reaching 40 to 50 mph. The affected areas include Westmoreland, Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette, Fayette Ridges, and Higher Elevations of Indiana.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. The NWS also warns that tree limbs may be blown down, and isolated power outages are possible.
