Residents in the Higher Elevations of Westmoreland, Fayette, and Indiana Counties should secure outdoor objects immediately. A Wind Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Pittsburgh, effective from 8 PM this evening, October 10, until 2 PM EDT on Sunday, October 11.

Southeast winds are expected to reach 20 to 25 mph, with gusts potentially reaching between 40 to 50 mph. These strong winds may blow around unsecured outdoor items, cause tree limbs to fall, and could lead to isolated power outages.

The NWS advises the public to report any downed trees, power lines, or large branches by calling 412-262-1988, posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using X (formerly Twitter) @NWSPittsburgh.
