Sumiton Christmas Parade Set for December 7th

Christmas Parade Dec 7, 2024 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM The City of Sumiton will be having their annual Christmas Parade on December 7th. Line up will begin at 9:00 am at Sumiton Church of God and will begin at 10:00 am.Following the parade Santa will be at the Senior Center.

Seasonal Parks Laborer Positions Available in Eldridge

The City of Eldridge is accepting applications for a Seasonal Parks Laborer. Seasonal position is approximately April 15 through November 1. This position requires the ability to operate equipment such as lawn mowers, UTV’s, and various power tools and hand tools. A regular workday is typically 4-5 hours, Monday – Friday, starting at 7:00 AM. Work hours may vary, depending on the weather. The pay for this position will be $16.07/hr. The position is open until filled. Planning Commission Planning Commission Members: Keith Moore – Chairman Sonny Phillips Barbara Odom Josh Moon Robert Fields Duties: To study and recommend to the Council adoption of an official map of the municipality; to make reports and recommendations relating to the design and location of streets, parks, playgrounds, and other public places; to make recommendations to the Council concerning the reasonable requirements to be made of subdividers; to recommend to the Council for adoption from time to time of such amendments to the zoning ordinance and map as conditions in the municipality may require; and to perform any other duties that may be prescribed by law or ordinance.
