Saint David Catholic School students are actively demonstrating service and compassion through charitable outreach projects in Davie and beyond. These initiatives aim to build awareness, empathy, and a commitment to helping those in need.
The school's Hope Outreach ministry, founded by the late Fr. Gabriel O’Reilly, former Pastor of Saint David Catholic Church, provides support to individuals and families facing hardship locally and in surrounding areas. Through food and clothing distribution, emergency relief, and seasonal drives, Hope Outreach works to restore dignity. Students participate in age-appropriate collections and service projects, learning about poverty and the call to generosity.
The annual Service Learning Day provides another avenue for student involvement. On this schoolwide event, each grade level undertakes purposeful outreach projects. These activities connect academic learning with community needs, offering tangible assistance and deepening students' understanding of justice and compassion.
Through these programs, Saint David Catholic School teaches that serving others is a lifelong commitment. Students experience the joy of Christian discipleship and witness the impact of their actions, reinforcing the principles of loving God and neighbor in Broward County.
