Miramar parents have a formal process to provide input on the evaluations of their children's teachers and school administrators, according to Florida Statute 1012.34.
Regional superintendents and assistant superintendent offices receive and address parent and community concerns about schools. These offices work with schools and stakeholders to find resolutions.
To provide input on a teacher's evaluation, parents must contact one of the school's administrators. For feedback on an assistant principal's evaluation, parents should contact the school's principal. This input can be submitted in writing or by calling the school directly.
Annually, parents can also contribute to a principal's evaluation by completing the school's stakeholder survey. Schools typically distribute links to this electronic survey through newsletters, websites or social media. Principals' supervisors use the survey results during their evaluations.
