A Wind Advisory has been issued for west central Georgia, including Heard, Troup, Meriwether, Pike, Upson, Harris, Talbot, Taylor, Muscogee, Chattahoochee, Marion, Schley, Macon, Stewart, Webster, and Sumter counties, effective immediately. The advisory is in effect until 11:00 PM EDT this evening, October 10, 2026.

The National Weather Service Peachtree City GA warns of east winds between 10 to 20 mph, with gusts potentially reaching up to 40 mph. These conditions can make driving challenging, particularly for high-profile vehicles. Residents are advised to use extra caution when on the roads.

Gusty winds may blow around unsecured outdoor objects. Community members are urged to secure any loose items around their homes and businesses. There is a possibility of tree limbs being blown down and isolated power outages occurring as a result of the strong winds.

This advisory was issued by NWS Peachtree City GA at 5:00 AM EDT on October 10, 2026. Please take necessary precautions and stay informed of local weather updates.
