Dozens of young professionals removed nearly 2,000 pounds of debris from Coconut Grove's coastline on Sunday, October 11, working to clean beaches near Vizcaya Museum & Gardens and Kennedy Park.

The World Mission Society Church of God's Young Adult Worker Volunteer Group, known as ASEZ WAO (Save the Earth from A to Z, We Are One Family), organized the cleanup.

Gabriel Perez of ASEZ WAO said the group holds itself to a high standard. "We live in the greatest city in the entire world," he said. "This is important not just for us, but for the wildlife in the water as well."
