Pedestrian Dies After Hallandale Beach Crash on Federal Highway

A pedestrian died Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Hallandale Beach. Hallandale Police Department officers confirmed the fatality. The incident occurred on the 100 block of North Federal Highway. Police said a vehicle traveling southbound struck a pedestrian crossing the highway outside of a crosswalk.

Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead. 7News cameras at the scene, near an auto parts store, observed investigators examining a white car with a shattered windshield.

The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The Hallandale Police Department continues its investigation.
