Miami Forecast: Extended Wet Weather Expected

Miami residents should prepare for several days of wet weather, with numerous showers and thunderstorms expected through next week. A slow-moving upper-level low over Florida is drawing moisture from the Caribbean, prompting these persistent stormy conditions.

Forecasters predict 2 to 4 inches of rain across South Florida, with some areas potentially receiving more, raising concerns about flash flooding. While not a complete washout, outdoor plans face a high risk of disruption throughout the weekend and into next week.

Increased cloud cover and rainfall will keep daytime highs in the upper-80s to around 90 degrees. This pattern is expected to persist through the end of next week, with daily chances of storms.

The Atlantic Basin has seen a quiet hurricane season. The only area of development concern, located in the middle Atlantic near the Azores, poses no threat to Florida.
