
Mail Carrier Arrested for DUI in Fort Lauderdale USPS Vehicle

Fort Lauderdale Police arrested a U.S. Postal Service mail carrier Tuesday evening on suspicion of driving under the influence while on duty in a USPS vehicle. Officers responded to a call around 8 p.m. regarding a marked USPS vehicle stopped in the roadway in the 700 block of Northeast 17th Court. Upon arrival, officers found the driver, identified as 32-year-old Eliezer Valcourt, who appeared intoxicated. A DUI officer conducted an investigation, leading to Valcourt's arrest. The incident occurred in an area that has seen increased police patrols aimed at improving road safety.
