Ciao Havana Steakhouse Opens on Calle Ocho with Cuban-Italian Menu

Little Havana's Calle Ocho has a new dining and entertainment spot: Ciao Havana Steakhouse, which opened this week at 1620 SW Eighth St. The restaurant offers a blend of Italian and Cuban-inspired dishes, live music, and access to the adjacent Cosanostra Miami nightclub.

Gastronomica Miami, the hospitality group behind Ciao Havana and Cosanostra, aims to create a destination where patrons can enjoy an upscale dinner that transitions into a lively social environment. Ronald Montero, marketing director for Gastronomica, said guests seek an experience beyond just a meal.

Chef Yasmani Ochoa leads the kitchen, focusing on meat dishes such as churrasco, picanha, and filet mignon, available by the half-pound or pound. The menu also features mushroom and black-truffle croquetas, lobster-saffron risotto, short-rib risotto, Mediterranean branzino, seafood casserole alla diavola, vaca frita, Cuban masitas, and a Cubano served on focaccia. Live music will entertain diners in a separate bar and stage area.

Ciao Havana Steakhouse shares its address with El Cuban Diner. Cosanostra Miami is next door at 1618 SW Eighth St. Gastronomica Miami also operates Sala'o at 1642 SW Eighth St. and Old's Havana at 1442 SW Eighth St.
