Best Buddies Miami Virtual Events for Disability Employment Month

Miami residents can join Best Buddies International for a series of virtual events throughout October to celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The initiative highlights the contributions of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in the workplace and community.

The month began Oct. 2 with a virtual kickoff and will end Oct. 30 with a closing video showcasing diverse local talents. Each Wednesday in October, Best Buddies will release a new #WorkplaceWednesday video featuring stories of inclusive employment practices. These stories aim to demonstrate how diverse strengths and perspectives benefit professional settings.

The virtual events are free and open to anyone interested in learning more about NDEAM and Best Buddies' work. The organization emphasizes that building inclusive cultures requires intentionality, empathy, and collective action.
