This annual gathering serves to acknowledge the generosity, time, and commitment of those who partner with United Way Miami. Residents benefit directly from the work of these honored leaders and schools, as their efforts strengthen community programs and support vital services throughout Miami-Dade.
Symeria Hudson, President and CEO of United Way Miami, emphasized the purpose of the awards. She stated, “We’re here to honor them for their generosity, their time and their commitment to helping us make this community strong.” Hudson added that the event was “truly a celebration of just that, bringing together incredible people that we’ve had long-standing partnerships with, and also to recognize those that are giving so much more to this community.”
The celebration also specifically recognized local schools for their leadership and ongoing support of United Way Miami’s initiatives. Local media outlets WSVN-7 and ABC Miami 18 were noted as longtime sponsors and supporters of the organization, underscoring the broad community backing for United Way Miami’s mission.
