CDC to Release New Immunization Data, Discuss Measles Outbreaks
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will hold a telebriefing to release new findings from the National Immunization Survey. The data focuses on immunization coverage among infants in the United States.
During the briefing, CDC officials will also address current measles cases and outbreaks across the country. They will provide updates on the agency's efforts to control the spread of the disease.
The telebriefing also commemorates the 20th anniversary of the passage of legislation that established the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. The VFC program provides vaccines at no cost to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated due to inability to pay.
